Founded in November 2017 by Stephanie Curnow, a military spouse and new mother based in Nashville, TN, our journey began as an online boutique with a simple yet profound mission: to empower every busy woman to look and feel her best. 

Stephanie personally curates each piece, prioritizing fit, feel, quality, and affordability, ensuring that every item at 27 West is not just clothing, but a statement of confidence and comfort. 

Beyond fashion, our purpose is twofold. Firstly, we're dedicated to offering exceptional clothing at accessible prices, backed by outstanding customer care. Secondly, we are committed to addressing the staggering unemployment rate among military spouses, currently 34%, which is 8.5 times the national average. At 27 West, we're building more than a brand; we're creating career opportunities with growth potential for military spouses nationwide. 

In 2019, Stephanie and her family received military orders relocating them to JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord). Settling in DuPont, WA, a city in Pierce County just outside of JBLM, Stephanie was able to immerse herself in the military community. Inspired by the vibrant military community, Stephanie envisioned bringing 27 West to a physical location in DuPont to directly connect with military spouses and veterans. 

In November 2020, we proudly opened our flagship store in Dupont, Washington, positioned near JBLM to directly engage with and support the military community. This location has allowed us to fulfill Stephanie's vision by employing military spouses and providing a platform for over 20 veteran and military spouse-owned businesses. Additionally, in April 2023, we expanded to a second location in Sunrise Village, Puyallup, Washington, situated in the heart of South Hill, a community with a high military population, further extending our commitment to serving and supporting local veterans and military families.
